Getting a Vasectomy is something that has been on my mind since my early/mid 20s, but I wanted to wait until I got older just to make sure. I met my wife when I was 20 and we've been together ever since...14 years! 🙀 We've both been against having kids since the get go, I always thought, "maybe it was a phase and I/we'll change our mind." That mindset obviously hasn't changed 1 bit in over the past 14 years. On top of just plain not wanting kids, I also have some bad genetics that run through my family where I'd be at a much higher risk of producing a special needs child, I just don't have that in me. So here we are, made the call and set up an appointment for the consultation in a few weeks. I'm a little nervous about the consultation, but probably most nervous about the operation right now. Still not sure if I should even break this news to my parents, especially my mother. I think she would be devastated at first, but would Ultimately respect my decision, who knows. I'll deal with that after it's all said and done.
