My coworker announced she was pregnant and everyone was genuinely excited for her and I could literally feel that I was doing my fake uncomfortable smile lol. I honestly did not care. Like, Iām happy for her cause she really wants to be a mom but other than that, I could care less. This does not affect my life in any way. And Iām wondering if other people are really good at faking excitement or they really are that happy over a coworkers pregnancy??
I 100% fake excitement over pregnancy announcements/baby births. I recognize it's a huge life event and if they are happy, then I'm happy for them. However, my inner reaction is usually "congrats...your own life is now going to be about someone else 100% of the time and probably exponentially harder." lol
