So I am a trans woman and recently went for my 6 monthly blood test and endocrinologist appointment. Turns out my dosage of estrogen has been running a bit high and my prolactin levels were through the roof. The Dr laughed and told me āyou have the hormone levels of a woman in her second trimesterā. I left the appointment and messaged my girlfriend who is also trans āHi hun, just left the endocrinologist and have wonderful news, Iām pregnant!ā.
Now we are both in our 30s and are vehemently childfree. All we want is a life revolving around pets, travelling to Japan every year, owning a really decked out house, playing LAN games together and weekly D&D sessions with our friends. My girlfriend said her heart skipped several beats and panicked before she stopped and remembered thatās physically impossible. I do feel for many trans women who despair over the fact they will never experience motherhood, but I am so happy weāll never have to worry about birth control.
