The title says it. This is my first doctor consultation on my journey to get a hysterectomy (uterus only), and I really don’t know what to expect.
This gynecologist came highly recommended, but after reading stories from this sub I feel like I need to go in with my guard up and almost plead my case- even though I’m 32 years old and married. 🙄
I think I’ll just get on my knees and say, “PLEASE. I don’t want kids and this uterus is ruining my sex life.” Haha!
Totally! I got breast implants 3 years ago and went to a handful of consults before I decided on a surgeon. Not a single one questioned if it was what I really wanted or brought up the possibility of me changing my mind. 🙄

That’s so awesome! I’m happy for you! I really hope mine goes as smoothly.
I suppose I’m lucky in that I’ve never been in this position as a patient, but it feels so strange to essentially have to persuade a doctor about something I want done to my own body...like I need to arrive with a PowerPoint presentation or something, lol.
