So long story short, I was at dinner with family and friends the other night. A friend of my mother's (Let's call her Karen) bingoed me with "well when you have your own kids you'll see they aren't as bad as other people's children"
Now side note, I'm a male and very cynical. I also hate small children.
So I replied with "Ya know the best thing about medical advances? Abortions and vasectomies. No longer do people need to ruin their lives by having children they don't fucking want."
The whole table went silent and I stared Karen down till my grandmother agreed with me and how some people just don't want brats and how those decisions need to be respected.
So yea. Maybe I went overboard with the comment but at least it got her to shut up and my grandma was on my side. So I count it as a win.
