Why do we always get stuck next to people with babies at restaurants?

Post Body

Why do parents seem to think it is perfectly acceptable for their child to be screaming in the middle of a restaurant, it completely blows my mind. Especially when they just sit there and play with them while they are being that loud.

Today we were eating and had a couple with a young child sat behind us. The kid starting yelling almost immediately and the parents just seemed to think it was funny and kept talking to her without even attempting to get her to quiet down. We quickly boxed our food and left out of irritation.

Restaurants should have a child free section for those of us who just want to eat in peace. I would definitely frequent a place (if they had good food) that did this just to know I wouldn’t end up next to a screaming baby/child.
