“You can’t force doctors to operate on you”
Post Body

(I feel like this was the most appropriate flair, please let me know if “fix” or something else is more appropriate.)

I was told that a tubal salpingectomy is dangerous, invasive, and unnecessary. That I cannot force a doctor to perform this surgery on me.

It’s not like I’m holding a surgeon at gunpoint. Correct me if I’m wrong, but there is usually a right to be sterilized if you wish, right? Sometimes you have to be over 35, or have permission from a husband (yikes), but people are free to choose to be sterilized, aren’t they?
