My boss and his wife are both my friends. They have a 3 year old toddler. His wife gave birth last week, and I am their emergency contact person (this was also planned, they asked me in advance if I could be on stand-by) so I was over at their house watching their toddler from Wednesday night until Saturday morning.

Their little girl is SO sweet and so well behaved, honestly she gave me no issues, but by Friday I was starting to get the feeling of like "Oh god I need to get out of here, I can't do this, how am I supposed to keep doing this, how much longer is this going to last" etc. I was mentally drained from having to put on the "I am a nice patient person" mask for several days straight with no definitive end point and was honestly in a state of pure internal panic by the time I got out of there.

I was supposed to ovulate on Sunday, the day after I got home from watching her, but instead I started the most horrendous period I have had in years. Two weeks early. If anything I'm usually a week or two late, and I haven't bled this much in years, so it was a little shocking.

And in case you're wondering, yes I called my gyn! Probably just stress-induced and they're seeing me soon. Just thought the whole thing was funny, I absolutely made the right choice getting sterilized lol.

My bisalp was done laparoscopically so there were 3 small incisions made: one near either hip bone, and then one in my belly button. I was sore afterwards but had no problem getting back to horse riding (uses a lot of core) after my stitches were out.

It wasn't an option, my surgeon didn't do tubals anymore because bisalp is the superior procedure. I just took her word for it.

Yes, I had a bisalp done in 2022.

LOL yes that's pretty much exactly what happened! Like goddamn I'm so glad that isn't my life.

You're making an issue out of nothing. I make almost half a million per year, I am not exploited. They don't have local family and they only trust 2 people with their little girl, myself included. It was no big deal.
