so I've never wanted kids, I have trauma that would make raising a kid extremely hard, I would probably die in child birth and I have genetic disabilities that I wouldn't wish on anyone. these all seem like great reasons to me as why I shouldn't have to have kids. family members keep telling me things like I should stop using birth control (I went on birth control at age 11 because I have endometriosis that caused cramps so bad I pass out and puke regularly, I haven't had a period in 2 years and the last time I did I was miserable) because I've been on it for so long and I might have fucked up my ability to procreate. also the classic "you're young, you'll change your mind." has anyone actually changed their mind, had kids and was perfectly happy? do any of you know from experience or a family member or random story you heard that they hated kids then had some and were just so happy? because I don't think that's how it works, if you're already 18 like me and the thought of kids under the age of 15 being in your home sends you into a bad mood, do you really think I'll change my mind?
