I’ve been a longtime lurker of this sub and have been considering permanent birth control really seriously for the last 6 months. My doctor just had to surgically remove my Mirena because it had perforated my uterus and was exacerbating my PMDD symptoms tenfold. We had our post-op appointment today and he asked if I was interested in any other birth control.
The word “bisalp” had barely left my mouth before he was asking his nurse to retrieve consent forms. YAY!!! I was giddy signing those papers! I didn’t expect it to be that easy. I am so excited to get the surgery scheduled and to be child-free forever! 🥰 Worth noting that I live in a state where abortion is heavily illegal so this is more important now than ever!
