Someone i feel who has helped me, is a guy I met at Krav Maga class. He was always a very private person, but a kind hearted guy. It was good to train with him and he helped me out with a lot of stuff. Hanging about with him taught me that having children is not essential and not a societal normal that others make out it is, we have a choice in that matter.
He's strictly childfree and he gave me a lot of good dating advice, and advice of life as well. We shared dating app horror stories, and he taught me a lot in the class and outside of it. I miss seeing him in the class at times, as I thought he was a good friend and support. Wherever you are today Mike, I hope you're doing well dude.
