Worried that one of my chickens may be gravely ill :'(

Post Body

Hey all,

I'm freaking out a bit because my favorite chicken (I'll admit it, I have a favorite) has been stumbling around the past couple of days and seems lethargic and definitely sick. She seems to be trying to isolate herself from the other chickens (she's always kind of done this as the youngest one and the bottom of the pecking order because she gets bullied a lot, but she's doing it a lot more than normal, including when they go into the coop to sleep--a new thing for her). Her comb has also been on-and-off pale. She is struggling to keep her balance when she stands sometimes. Other times during the day, she seems more steady and balanced.

In the mornings, she comes out far later than the other chickens--the others are usually out and active by 7 or 7:30 am, and she often isn't coming out until like 2 hours after the other ones. She is roughly one years old and not vaccinated for Marek's.

What I've done so far: I gave her a course of treatment for coccidosis (used the directions given on the bottle and titrated down for a single dosage, of course) and have been giving her water mixed with vitamin and electrolye solution. Not sure what else to do--would taking her to the vet be worth it?
