Hello. I am 32 years old and live in the NW suburbs of the greater Chicago area. I'm bad at this type of thing so maybe some structure will help me get through it.

Hoobies:

I like to play games, video and table top. I like cooking, my parents were chefs and managed kitchens so I have picked up a few things. I can cook for someone or with someone. You can find me out in a first preserve looking for interesting fungi, plants and flowers at least once a week. I would like to hike more and take more road trips in the near future. I garden in the sitting and summer and have a few plants in the house. I would like to go to more concerts and events but have struggled since COVID to get back into that. I get very passionate about new hobbies and sometimes they stick for good.

Politics/Religion

I'm very liberal but I don't learn all the way to the far left. I am not conservative really in any ways. I believe ACAB, BLM, LGBTQ , Abortion is a choice regarding healthcare and a private issue. I don't see any place for hate and don't intend to associate with anyone with convert or overt hateful, racist, or sexist tendencies. I am an atheist but open to all who are religious and open minded. I love deep conversations on the subject.

Employment and Living:

I have an incredible job that pay decently well. I also work from home 4 days a week, and really 5 days a week most of the time. My schedule is very flexible and I have a good balance between work and life. I currently rent a house but would like to buy sometime in the near future. I have a car and don't mind driving 30 mins to an hour to meet someone who interests me. I have a dog, a car and two whites tree frogs in a bioactive vivarium. My next project is to convert an armoir to a large vivarium for them.

Extra curriculars:

I drink alcohol and use cannabis socially. I always enjoy the occasional psychedelic trip. I understand this could be off putting but if it is and you aren't curious about it we likely are not compatible. I don't mind if you don't partake, I just don't want anyone to be uncomfortable when I am starting to grow my own and am very excited about it.

What I'm looking for:

Something that starts simple and turns into a long term relationship. Rarely does it go that way, but o guess that's why we are all here. I am very attracted to intelligence, confidence, and patience. I want a woman who will speak her mind when she wants. I like to work through problems. I have a great job and would like to own property some day with enough room for a decent sized garden. I want to improve and learn for the rest of my life and hope to find someone with the same mindset who shares their goals and aspirations. I enjoy being a homebody and also going out on adventures. Balance and moderation is a huge theme in my life.
