I’m just venting about my worst online dating experience ever.

Before I start the venting let me say that I’m caucasian and I’ve dated many black women over the years and my profile on the apps very clearly says that I’m not looking for hookups or one night stands.

I’ve been using the dating apps for 8-9 years and this week I matched with a black lady who never used the apps. We were having a wonderful conversation and agreed that we had a lot in common. I asked her on Tuesday after texting for a couple hours if she wanted to go bowling one day this week so we could get to know each other better. She said sure… then later in the day asked if we could talk on the phone. i agreed to talk on the phone and asked her for her number.

When I called her the first thing she asked me was “Can we get into the nitty gritty?” I said yes and asked her what she wanted to know. (I saw the rest of this coming from ten miles away. What I didn’t see though was it getting to the ending it did.)

First think asked me after that was if I was looking for a serious relationship or hookup. I replied by telling her I’m looking for my soulmate because I’m looking to be married in the next 3-5 years. She said “Same here”, then asked if I want kids. I said “no but if they happen I’m okay with it.” Then she stated asking a lot of light hearted questions such as what tv shows do I like. Before we hung up nearly 3 hours later she asked me if I’d be okay with coming to her place Wednesday or Thursday after work instead of going bowling. I told her that I’m open to the idea for Thursday but they I’d want to talk again before coming to her place. We then asked to talk again Wednesday evening.

That call was mostly light hearted getting to know your conversation… until the end when she asked if we could have phone sex. I said sure but I don’t what would turn you on since we’ve never met each other or hooked up before so we would have to wait until we’ve had intercourse to have phone sex when we’re unable to get together in person. Then yesterday morning I texted her asking if we were going to get together in the evening and she said no she wasn’t ready to meet yet. She also asked if we could talk on the phone again in the evening and I said sure.

Then after having a bad start to my day at work I called her and asked her to please make me laugh because I was having a rough day. She successfully made me laugh and we texted a bit more after that throughout the day. My day didn’t get much better even though she made me laugh. So on my way home after work I stopped somewhere to get a couple drinks before calling her and when I was ready to call her she literally freaked out telling me I had given her excuses why I couldn’t talk and told me to never contact her again.

At the end of the day I feel like she was looking for a hookup and didn’t read my profile on the app.
