Hey all, happy weekend!

I'm a single 36 year old software engineer living in west town near the Chicago blue line stop. After feeling some burnout from dating apps I am resorting to Reddit for something a little more niche.

I'm looking for a friend/companion who I can take on fun dates around the city. Just a casual dating partner. Someone to try new restaurants or drink spots with, check out a show with, maybe even travel with. I don't mind paying the bill for our adventures (within reason, of course).

In the past I've dabbled in some light SD/SB type arrangements. I kind of miss it and am looking for something similar this time around. When I'm burned out from dating apps it's nice to have a good looking female companion I can consistently see and go on dates with. While I'm not super wealthy and am not a guy who can pay your rent or anything, hopefully I could at least treat you to some fun times and potentially help you out in a pinch. I'm looking for more of a true friendship that is mutually beneficial than an "arrangement", if that makes sense.

I would say I'm very open minded as to what it becomes: platonic, casual intimacy, full on relationship - it's all fair game and just depends on our chemistry!

• Personality: super laid back, reserved, quiet, well-mannered, endearingly quirky
• Looks: 6'1", average build (190 pounds), white, blonde hair, blue eyes (I'm a nerd, but I'm not a troll and have even been called "handsome" or "cute" on occasion)
• Interests: cooking, tennis, watching sports, music, coffee, stiff cocktails, long walks

You:

• Fun, outgoing, spontaneous, and bubbly personality
  • I tend to match the energy of those around me and have always meshed better with people who are more outgoing and not afraid to get me out of my comfort zone.
• Conventionally attractive
  • Sorry, I admit that I'm unfairly shallow when it comes to this kind of thing, but I find it is best to just be transparent up front. I will say that I do not have a "type" and do not have any restrictions or preference when it comes to age, race, or ethnicity.
• Well rounded
  • I'd like to think I'm well rounded and love a woman who can match that. I want that girl who fits in at the dive bar watching sports just as well as dressed up and going to the symphony.
• Ideally you live at least somewhat close to me so meeting up is convenient!
