Seriously. So many things to do in this city and yet everyone I know is boring as f*ck. Nobofy wants to go anywhere or do anything.
I'm 35M, white, single, no kids, gainfully employed, incredibly social, and mostly normal. Lived in Chicago my entire life. Know plenty of people here. Play on rec sports teams, play in various music groups and go out to shows regularly.
And yet, I've spent almost all of summer 2024 doing everything completely alone. Going to bars, hanging along the lakefront, kayaking, bar trivia. Feels like everyone has a stick up their ass. Instead of going out and interacting with actual humans they'd rather sit on the couch streaming re-runs and swiping through people they'll never meet IRL.
Does anyone else feel this way? Or is it just my friends that suck?
If you're 18-40, in the city, single, normal, intelligent and available, HIT me up. Let's hang. Beautiful weekend with beautiful weather ahead. Let's DO SOMETHING. Anything why is this so difficult?
