I hope this post finds you all well. I am hoping to find a female roommate in a safe area. I am currently seeking a positive change in my living situation and am looking for a supportive roommate arrangement. Due to personal circumstances, I’ve found myself in a challenging home environment that isn’t conducive to my well-being. I am eager to find a safe and peaceful place to call home.

About me: I’m on the quiet side and enjoy spending time feng-shuiing my bedroom, watching YouTube videos, tending to my spider plant, and doing creative writing on my phone and laptop. I have faced health challenges that affect my ability to maintain traditional employment. While I don’t qualify for disability benefits, I am actively working towards stabilizing my situation, and while my freelance income is below the underemployment level, it allows me to contribute meaningfully. (Rent contributions are possible on occasion. I do have EBT for my food needs.). My work sometimes requires privacy and focus to uphold client confidentiality, as I operate a phone-based service.

I am the last one of my friend group living in my state, so my only occasional guest would be my favorite aunt. I come from a small family; my parents are no longer with us, and I am an only child.

I’m looking for a roommate who is comfortable with their own space and life, yet open to sharing their home with someone like myself. It’s important to me not to feel like a burden, so I hope to find someone open-minded who genuinely has room in their life for a roommate.

I want to be transparent that I will not have a car initially as I am leaving my current situation and my boyfriend will keep it. I will be at home full-time, but as an introvert, I am comfortable with this arrangement. However, I understand if this detail may give pause, and I wanted to address it openly.

In exchange for accommodation, I am more than willing to help with household chores, cooking, or any other tasks that would be beneficial. I am more than willing to meet in person beforehand to show that I am drug-free and responsible. My “friendship language” is acts of service, so I would be happy to help around the house in any way I can. I’m also looking to scratch my baking itch. While I don’t expect us to become best friends, I am eager to contribute and regain a sense of dignity and pride in myself.

I currently live in Chicago’s southland suburbs and the isolation is driving me bananas. I would love to live in the west loop
