Looking for someone to be open and transparent about our thoughts and feelings with each other.
Things haven't been great for me lately. My career hasn't been going so well and now that I'm out of a four year relationship, I'm just not in the mood to date right now.
I'm not looking for a substitute for a therapist - I have one. However, it's a one-sided relationship by definition (and she charges by the hour). I also have friends, some of whom know about my issues at some level and I know some of theirs, but I would not want to change the dynamic we already have. Also, you wouldn't want to risk them discussing what you've told them with other people you know.
So I'm looking for someone here where we can discuss everything going on in our lives - relationships, work, family, mental health, etc. without fear of judgment or it being revealed to others. But this wouldn't just be about venting to each other about what's going on in our lives. We can also hang out for fun: watch movies, grab food, etc.
As long as we're each single, we can also have some level of physical intimacy (from cuddling to hooking up) but I don't want that to be the foundation of our relationship,
I've done this once before and our friendship lasted 16 years (most of it with us living in different cities). To this day, it was the most honest relationship I've had.
If you're still reading, I'm looking for someone who fits the following criteria:
- Single
- Educated (at least a four-year degree - I have a Master's)
- Financially stable (this caused a problem with my previous emotional buddy)
- Has her own social life (it's a lot of pressure being someone's only friend)
- Mostly okay with how she looks (if you hate your body, I would not know how to help)
Please DM me if you want to discuss more. If you want to exchange pics, yours will get mine.
