Okay, I'm officially sick of winter. This weather blows. I just walked to a bar nearby and it was not a fun walk at all. Also, every bar is just couples on dates or dudes alone staring at their phones. Where are the single women in Chicago? Are you all in hiding?
MLK weekend. I basically have zero plans. My friends are all being boring af. Honestly, social life just hasn't recovered since the pandemic. Not that I'm not trying. People have just gotteb flaky, elusive, and boring. Everyone is staring at their phones swiping, or staying in streaming, or moving to the suburbs and having babies or whatever.
Let's break out of this funk? Maybe you're bored and lonely and looking for a winter companion too?
What if we stayed in and watched movies, ordered in, and had a good time of our own? I've been craving this kind of connection for a while. Just would be nice to have someone next to me on the couch. Ideally with a great smile. Whether platonic or romantic or physical or somewhere in between, it doesn't really matter to me. Lets just see where it goes. Let's light some scented candles, play with Legos, get drunk and watch Austin Powers, play chess, cuddle, fall asleep together, take a shower together, make out, anything!
Let's just take comfort in each and do something relaxing or exciting like two human adults on a cold winter weekend.
