You know what I miss from the before times? Trivia. Beer, fun facts, friendship: what's not to like?

I'm looking to put together a team of highly skilled individuals to casually compete on the Chicago bar trivia circuit. Maybe as we climb through the ranks and struggle toward the championship, we'll realize that the real prize was each other's company.

Okay, jokes aside: I'm a 34 year old (white, male) trivia enthusiast on the north side (living in Uptown). I work in tech (more or less). Besides bar trivia, I also enjoy baking, bikes, board games, (progressive) politics, travel, and trying new things.

EDIT: Great to hear from everyone who's reached out so far! I'll be getting in touch with each of you individually to coordinate logistics, and will update this post with the final plan. We'll tentatively aim for our first trivia outing during the week after Labor Day!

EDIT 2: Hi there! Most people expressed a preference for the next week, but there was an even split between Wednesday folks and Thursday folks.

So, our first Reddit trivia outing will be Wednesday, September 14 at Commonwealth Tavern (2000 W Roscoe) at 7:30 pm. (If you can't make it out on Wednesday nights, don't worry -- we'll try Thursday for the next one.)
