Is there more of a trend for in-demand restaurants to have more 4 than 2-person reservation spots?

Post Body

I've been trying to get into Bavette's for a bit now. Hear it's inspiring. 6PM reservation. Seems if you change the reservation request from 2 to 4 there are more spots available. At two, there are 4:30 or 9PM and later slots

Is this to bias business clients than couples? I'm absolutely sure they pay more. I also understand the need to maximize capacity for restaurant survival but is this a new trend? Have you seen this at other restaurants? Thank you for your responses!
