I moved here 3 years ago and I love Chicago for a long list of reasons. It also seems rich in community but at the same time, I feel like I sit at home or hang out with my one friend once a week and that’s it other than hitting the LA Fitness by my place every day. I don’t go into an office for work.

How do people go about meeting new people for friends and community? I’ve tried things like the Meet Up app, but nothing ever comes of the groups I’m interested in. I’ve also created a Facebook account and I don’t personally see groups but I suspect I don’t know what to look for and all that. I’m even on scruff and Grindr for friends (bisexual here) and that doesn’t go anywhere either.

Has anyone else had this issue?
