How is this a mistake?

How was Nb4 a mistake? My line of attack was Ne3, which would at best bait the Queen into a 3 way fork, or at worst put me up a pawn with a trade for the bishop to move the d pawn off center?
He blundered his bishop by advancing to d4 before my attack.
