Is creating an Italian game-esque board as black advantageous?

I usually play the Caro-Kann as black against d4 and e4. After the trade on d5, I find myself trying to go Nc6 Bc5 to create the same look as the Italian, which I like playing as white. Is it bad (I'm ~800 elo btw) to try to replicate positions I'm comfortable in like the Italian as black? And how can I learn more about this line?
