Hi chemmits - I've been working on some illustrations for wikipedia, and one of the diagrams I'm looking to generate relies on a population of molecules. I'm versed in general 3D animation, I can do the regular molecular modeling, and I'd like to bridge the two - i.e., get to a minimum structure and export the (surface) geometry to a generic 3D format. Does anyone know of any software that does that?
On a related note - does anyone have recommendation for a free molecular dynamics suite that is easy to learn (and preferably operates in python, my arms of choice)?
