The enthalpy of sublimation of solid calcium is 278.2 kJ/mol. Find energy required to produce 1.0 g of Ca2 ions in gas phase. First and second ionization energies of calcium are 590 and 1150 kJ/mol.

I have an idea about how to possibly do this, but I would like to know if I am going about this the right way. Would I just make 3 equations? Starting with Ca(s) to Ca(g) then to Ca1 and finally to Ca2 . Then from there would I just do dU = dH - dnRT?
