Lampard, in his press conference today said (paraphrasing), "I've said it over, I want the team to do the basics. Running. Commitment on the pitch. Etc. And since I've been here I've learned the reasons why those things aren't happening. At least not consistently."
I can only read into his words, but he seems to suggest something is really rotten in the background. This is just adding to the pile of evidence suggesting that there's serious locker room issues with our team. Whether it's Todd Talks. Oversized squad. Poor characters brought in. Etc.
On the topic of squad.. is anyone else noticing the Raheem Sterling - Mudryk coldness.. They seem to barely high five or make eye contact when subbing each other out. Like Raz will high five one player subbing in, then just whiz by Mudryk. Is it just me or maybe I'm reading into things.
Mudryk, btw, needs to get off of social media. He's had at least 3 incidents since January of bad choices on there.
As a BIG lampard fan, I've been critical of his recent team selections and tactics, obviously; but now I'm starting to wonder if, as much as he wants to play these new signings, it's possible that some are just carrying such terrible attitudes in the locker room that he just can't reward them with game time. It's possible. Somethings rotten somewhere.
Anyways, apart from Mudryk's youth, any other dynamics killing our team spirit that ya'll are suspecting?
