A mix of two subreddits but I'll focus on the cheating aspect. Met a girl I knew a long time ago, she's struggled for years with heroin addiction but ended up hooking up with her anyways. Decided to continue the relationship and lasted about 2 months but in the meantime she lied about her usage and ended up sleeping with one guy twice for money and a second guy she knew as a friend. Totally eating me up right now, she gaslit me for about a month and cheated 3/4 weeks of the second month of our relationship. To add insult to injury, the third time she had me even pick her up from the guys house she cheated on with me. Anyone have any insight if this is due to the drug addiction or just her character? She's never done it to her Ex's and I was the best BF/FWB she's ever had. She's now checked herself into rehab trying to get better and I wanna possibly give her a second chance and chalk it up to the addiction causing this. It's obviously obsurd of me to want to give it another go but I'm thinking of just being friends for awhile (months, possibly years) with occasional hookups until I feel comfortable she's sober and in a better place. Anyone ever have success with an addict and cheating? Any advice aside from just moving on.
