I lost a friend because he got cheated on
Post Body

So I (23 M) lost a friend 3 years ago after he (23 M) got cheated on. It changed him, almost completely. Before this, he was a nice guy who was easy to get along with. We had common interests and I enjoyed his company. He had been dating a girl while we were in college and everything seemed fine from what I could tell. He took her out a lot and they seemed happy. However, he soon discovered that she had been cheating on him with 7 other guys. This was undoubtably painful and torturous for him, and I felt immensely sorry for him.

However, everything started to change with him. He became a jerk who bought into the whole sigma male bullshit. He started talking like an incel and making remarks about how women only like rich and super handsome guys.

He started criticizing me for my looks, hobbies, interests, and even my race. He basically made me feel like shit and then he dropped out of college to start his own “business”.

He shaved his head and moved to the country with his grandparents. I reached out to him a few times and he seemed like he was getting better. However, the dumbest part of this all was how he ghosted me because I sent him a meme. He said it was a “low form of humor” and he said that he was somehow above it. I told him that his beliefs were stupid and that was the end of it… It’s been on my mind for years and I just felt like telling this story somewhere.
