I just want to throw this out there in case there needs to be a reminder. I’m seeing a LOT of CHILDREN on this subreddit and I want to remind the ADULTS in the room that you can get into a LOT of trouble if you’re stupid enough and get caught talking to these kids.
I get it-they have issues. They want to talk. You want to be a hero. The best thing you can do is to tell them to go talk about their issues with a trusted adult.
Please don’t risk your freedom by try to be a hero or a pervert. Just don’t.
To the teens: please please please be internet safe. You have no idea who’s on the other side of the screen. People lie all the time about their ages. Please don’t come to the internet with your troubles-your vulnerability makes you a perfect victim and it breaks my heart to hear about terrible things that happen to kids. Please talk to a counselor or a trusted adult if you need advice. You are loved and valued and despite what you think, your parents would be absolutely sick if anything happened to you.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk. Stay safe.
