Key snapped in lock

Post Body

So I had been wearing a holy trainer V5 small all day and was switching to a larger cage to sleep in when the key snapped!

You can see pics of the cage and style of lock if you look at our profile. The dumb thing was it was a brand new lock and it didn’t feel right even before trying to lock the cage with it.

Normally the internal style locks spin freely when the key is inserted, but this one felt really stiff from the get go.

I stupidly put it down to it being new and needing a bit of use but upon locking the key immediately snapped in the lock much to the wife amusement.

Oh well, Couldn’t do anything about it then so just went to sleep thinking I will sort it out today.

Thankfully when I woke up the lock had worked its way around the the fully unlocked position and I was able to remove from cage.

Back in the holy trainer now.

My initial feeling when the key snapped was embarrassment and fear. But pretty quickly followed but acceptance and excitement.

Was kinda hot being locked, not knowing when I would be able to get out.

Has anyone’s key holder snapped the key off on purpose? How did you feel about it and how long were you locked for, how did you finally remove the lock?
