Question about cage sizing

Post Body

So I have the metal button style Chasity cage and for some reason when I’m wearing it, the mechanism that holds the lock won’t line up where the locking mechanism can slide into place and lock. Whenever I’m not wearing it however the lock with the key are able to slide into place and lock. The metal ring is 40mm in diameter and another cage’s diameter that I’m able to fit into is 42mm. I’m guessing that the issue is the ring component but can 2mm really make that big of a difference? I thought the cage itself might be to blame, like a manufacturers error but that couldn’t be the case if it is able to slide in and lock when not worn. Anyone else experience this? Any insight would be appreciated.
