|Facial Features:|He smears ash across his eyes in typical ranger fashion. He has a long black beard that is braided into 3 braids, each braid clasped with a metal bear paw.|

|Hair:|Black in double viking braids down to his shoulder braids. In both his hair and beard he burns incense so he’s constantly surrounded by a sweet smelling smoke.|

|Color Scheme:|Black, shades of green, shades of brown, splashes of bright colors|

|Gear:|He technically wears leather armor but it’s all made of boiled tree bark instead of boiled leather. He has a cape across his back that looks like a giant sheet of grass hanging off him. It’s very evident that his clothing appears alive. The grass on his back grows and flowers and plants sprout from his cape as well as his bracers and shoulder pads. Instead of a traditional backpack he has two messenger bags that fall at each hip. He wears a brown and green kilt that’s clasped with a bear paw buckle. He has adventuring boots on but they look ragged. His weapon of choice is double throwing axes. He’s also what would be described as...crusty.|

|Personality Traits:|I am utterly serene, even in the face of disaster.

I’m oblivious to etiquette and social expectations. Gareth isn’t really concerned with the predilections of his party members and what they want to do. He’s out for the discovery and he can come off as curt and rude but doesn’t really know any better. He cares for all living creatures and is generally anti-violence until someone makes an attempt on someone or something’s life. Gareth views this as the biggest insult to nature and considers it a forfeit of his closely guarded code and will attempt to intervene. If you don’t respect life, Gareth doesn’t respect yours.|

|Backstory:| Gareth was raised by his father, a Hill Dwarf Hunter, and his Wood Elf Druid Stepmother. He grew up with his family in the forest following the traditions of the woods being taught respect for all living creatures including plants and animals. When Gareth turned 15 he expressed a desire for true knowledge and his parents gave him his mission: Immerse yourself in the forest to learn from it and to immerse yourself you must do so without distraction. He trudged off into the woods and there he sat in hermitage for 18 years studying all manner of plants and animals but never feeling fulfilled by his discoveries. His call to adventure was an adventuring party who wandered through his woods disturbing it. Being the guardian he is he went to investigate and ended up joining with the party if for no other reason than to hurry their departure from his forest. Over the course of his adventure he came to the realization that hermitage is the wrong way to go about finding knowledge. He now owes it to himself to see as much as he can, make as many discoveries as he can, mix up as many interesting potions as he can, and take as many notes as he can.|
