1st guy: Salla, human Fighter and aspiring Paladin

2nd guy: Thokk, half-orc Ranger and comfortable with where he is in life

The two are half-brothers, but are unaware of it.

1) Name: Salla

Occupation: Human fighter, aspiring Paladin of Torm

Notable Features: Tall and muscular, black skin and neatly maintained dreadlocks. He's usually got a smile on his face, unless he's got to do work on evil things.

Character's Equipment: Most of his work is done with a bastard sword that he keeps sheathed at his side, but he keeps hand axes for throwing. His swordbelt is packed with pouches, satchels, bags and purses, and he keeps a stuffed backpack on his back beneath a rolled-up cloak. His helmet hangs from his pack. A medallion of Torm is his only jewelry, and he wears simple mail armor and odd bits of plate here and there. Though they don't match, they're kept clean and serviceable.

Backstory: He's the fourth son of a moderately wealthy noble family, and was packed off to a nearby temple at 12. Some of the acolytes were former adventurers, and taught Salla martial arts and instilled his LG outlook. While he was away, his brothers tore the family apart. Secret murders and batman-gambits eventually led the well-trained Salla to leave his surviving brother to fight for nearby lands. He plans, eventually, to return and deal with his brother and reunite with his estranged mother.

2) Name: Thokk

Occupation: Ranger, local scout and semi-pro skullcracker

Notable Features: He's big, but not especially muscular. Scars crisscorss his arms and he's got an unsightly dent on the side of his head, the remnant of a mace blow. He scrupulously cleans and shines his rather prominent tusks. Character's Race: Half-orc, half-human. Unknown to them both, he's the son of Salla's father, making the two of them half-brothers.

Character's Equipment: He carries the mace that dented his head, and calls it "swordbreaker." It looks more like a crowbar with a hilt. He carries a brace of javelins, and wears a well-used pair of studded leather gauntlets. A poorly-maintained mail shirt leaves his meaty arms exposed below the shoulder. A stained haversack carries most of his equipment, which is mostly of the bladed variety.

Character's backstory: Thokk was born to an orc woman who claimed that his father was a rich and extremely powerful human noble, but that's all the info he's got. He was raised on the move, living in swamps, dense forests and open plains, wherever food or work could be found. He had a knack for getting around, an affinity for animals (at least ones he didn't want to eat), and loved to get into fights, though he wasn't always the winner. He's got a gleefully neutral moral outlook, and exaggerates his presumed unintelligence.
