What a time to be a Chappell Roan fan
Post Body

I’ve only started listening to her for two months after going down the rabbit hole once a saw her tiny desk concert but man it’s been a wild ride. From her meteoric rise to fame to making headlines about rejecting stan/celebrity culture, she’s certainly invited a lot of discourse. Now with the sudden concert cancellations, she’s getting some backlash too(and justifiably so). I do hope she and her team can manage to figure out how to best handle this sudden rise in her popularity. I do believe that she has so much more to offer and can’t wait to see where she goes next.

I'd contribute an opinion but I'm just a random bitch

[not loaded or deleted]

She clarified that she moreso meant people going out of their way to accost her in some way but she said we are random bitches and basically we should treat her like any other random bitch and leave her alone, specifically avoiding shouting at her, touching her and stalking her family.

The internet is a bit divided over it, is she asking for basic decency and boundaries or is she acting like a spoiled diva who wants to have her cake and eat it too without being bothered by the likes of we peasant-folk. Some are even defending more extreme displays of devoted passion because she "signed up for this by being famous" but most fans are supporting the ask for boundaries. Unfortunately more reasonable fans can't do much about stans. They really are in every Fandom and kinda give the whole lot a bad name.

The whole debacle has been worsened by sudden tour date cancelation, which wasn't rolled out in the best way so that she can perform at the VMAs
