According to what i see on the internet, the men are giving up on the women, the women wont hit on the men, everyone is lonely, pandemic killed all the polycules and orgy scenes. Hitting on people seems to generally be considered "creepy" these days, no one even talks about sex, or if you bring it up, they act like they dont know what that is.

And dating sites? Im pretty sure all those people are either scams, or trying to get you to sub their onlyfans (at least in my experience)
