CMV: Android is unambiguously superior to Apple

Post Body

I used iPhone up until the iphone 7, when I decided to make the switch to Android (Samsung Galaxy Note 8, specifically). I didn't notice a huge difference because I used the Note like my iPhone. After the 4 years using the Note 8, the LG Phoenix 4, and the Note 10 , I decided to switch back to iPhone 13 max.

I INSTANTLY felt completely handicapped. After years of tweaking and tuning my androids, I had created a phone experience that was practically molded to my hands. Now using my iPhone it's shocking how little control you have.

Example 1: you can change the keyboard face of an iPhone with a couple tweaks. But on Android you can control every aspect, sometimes down to individual key sizes/placements. Now a majority of the time I press the "." key instead of the space bar and there's nothing I can do about it.

Example 2: You can't customize the iPhone control center AT ALL. This is bonkers to me. On the Note you could put any setting on your control center.

Any time I talk to my friends on iPhone they literally don't understand what I mean when I talk about replacing the keyboard, customizing control center, changing your launcher, etc. Sure, I understand the appeal of having a prebuilt experience ready to use out of the box. But I can't possibly see how iPhone would even be considered equal to Android.

tl;dr The only appeal to iPhone is blue text messages

Edit: I know that not everyone is tech savvy enough for that level of customization. But this isn't computer science, it's changing settings. It is well within most people's grasp to use an Android without messing it up

Edit 2: Not gonna lie, everyone has pointed out a lot that I didn't know about iPhone (which is ironic considering I loved tinkering and tweaking my Note 8 and 10). I still like Android more, but I can see more than blue text bubes to iPhone now.
