I’m sick of hearing that whatever “you” don’t like isn’t natural. Everything that can occur in the universe is natural, because you literally can’t break the laws of physics.

As for human actions, would you really suggest that we aren’t part of nature? We’re ultimately made from star dust, and operate under strict biological principles. Sure, some things aren’t “normal” or within societal expectations, but every single action or event that can occur, can only do so because it is natural.

We’re not separate from nature, nor are the things and effects we produce.

Nuclear bombs = natural

Homosexuality = natural

Plastic straws = natural

Airplanes = natural

War = natural

Man-made climate change = natural

Birth control = natural

I could go on. Natural does not connote ethical, moral, or societal values, nor should it. People have to figure that stuff out for themselves, and it would help to realize that we are a part of nature.

tl;dr: Everything that can occur is natural, otherwise it couldn’t occur.
