CMV: People don't hate the taste of water. They hate the additional components in water.

Honestly I thought I hated how water tasted for years.

When I was a kid, I only drank water fountain water because it tasted better for whatever reason.

Truth be told, I think it's Zephyrhills water that wrecked it for me and I hated tap.

Once I started drinking purified water, it had no taste to me and I now drink like 5-7 bottles of water a day.

People either hate the taste of the minerals added to the water, or the chemicals inside the water used to purify it.

Not the water itself. Pure water is amazing!

Do you think people ACTUALLY just hate the absence of taste? CMV

IDK if it's some addiction to soda, though that is something to look at separately. I think it's just a matter of wanting your experiences to be optimal.

Like, I love carbonation, so I'll suck down an entire case of spindrift (literally just carbonated water a splash of juice). Is it better for me than just plain water? No. Am I addicted to carbonated and water a splash of juice? Can you be addicted to carbonated water and a splash of juice, 0 added sugars?

Water doesn't really have a flavor, so the lack of a more appealing flavor is enough of a reason to not like water.
