Hey! I'm currently a freshman at a less renown state school in Washington. I want to transfer as a sophomore next year and I've been working very hard to become a good candidate. When transferring with less than 2 years of credits you need to send in SAT scores and high school GPA so i will start there. In High School I graduated with a 2.45 GPA and had a 1790 sat score. Not very good. But in college I have a 3.9 GPA after my first quarter, I'm the president of my dorm, soon to be vice president of our Resident Hall Association. I'm retaking my SAT next month and plan on getting over a 2000. So my question is even though I did horrible in High School, will showing how dedicated I am to improving and my pursuit of education give me a shot at transferring to UW? If not what could I do to improve my chances? thanks!
