This month it is taking a bit longer to get my Ajovy refill. Iâm not due for a few more days so I think (hope) it will be fine. Not sure if it is my pharmacy or if there is a disruption in pharmaceutical manufacturing or logistics. Anyone else run into this lately?
About a month ago, I had other meds that took longer as well (very routine, generic ones) and I know a few other people on injectable medications for other conditions - they canât seem to get their meds on time either.
Edit to add: Luckily I got it today. FWIW, I checked the medication shortage website (might be FDA.gov or some arm of that) last night and it doesnât look like any of the three injectable CGRP meds are in an âofficialâ shortage. I know that only applies to the US - maybe there is something similar in other countries?
I'm still relatively new to aimovig (coming up on month 6 or 7) but the fills have been obnoxious. I haven't been able to fill it at the same pharmacy twice and there's been a delay every time.
My insurance just approved 90 day fills so I'm at least able to get 3 of my injectors at once moving forward.
