Curious question about tone of voice and speaking to Littles

So I'm speaking specifically about Littles that have mental disorders that force them to regress at times. The others are valid 🙏 but not relevant to these questions.

What is the line between a cg/daddy being snappy vs being firm? What is the line between a Little feeling like they're not getting their way vs feeling legitimately hurt?

Because these are easy to get confused. I would like to have opinions from everyone, little and cgs and daddies and all 💜
