I know many of us are extremely sensitive to medication, myself included, but this one feels like a stretch. Still, I am grasping at straws, and this is one.
A few weeks ago, my anti anxiety medication, escitalopram (lexapro generic) was switched to a new manufacturer. This has happened over the years before with more than one prescription, never really mattered.
However. Right after this change, like within a few days, my anxiety levels started escalating. Mood swings, irritability, panic attacks, crying—oh boy, the crying!—and this is the only thing different in my life that I can think of.
Has anyone else experienced a change in the effectiveness of a medication after changing manufacturers? I feel like a crazy person. Ugh!
