I was diagnosed with ME/CFS early this year, but have been dealing with these symptoms since I had Covid in May '22.
The past couple months the symptoms have seemed to worsen so I checked in with my doctor. I have got some recent tests done and one of them was hormone labs. I had read somewhere that this could give answers to some degree.
Turns out I have extremely high testosterone (I'm a woman), and the doctor talked about the potential of PCOS. We are going to speak more about it, but there's this part of me that feels a glimmer of hope. While I don't know if that's the cause, if it was misdiagnosed with ME/CFS or a mixture of both things going on; I'm open to anything as I'm desperate to have any improvement to my quality of life. Especially in regards to the migraines, joint/muscle pain, and fatigue which are all potential symptoms of PCOS too.
Hashimotos and thyroid issues run in my family, but no results ever yielded from those tests.
I wanted to inquire if anyone else has had a crossover with PCOS, or thyroid issues and ME/CFS?
