I posted a little while back about a problem with my hair. I have shoulder length thick, dense curls and waves. Think hermione granger from the sorcerers stone movie. 🙃
I’ve been struggling with mats and was pretty sure I was going to have to shave my head just to manage my hair. I’m not able to brush or wash it myself.
A friend worked on it in the bath with literal handfuls of conditioner and a wide detangling comb. In an hour she got through about 30%.
A lot of people were so supportive here about my possibility shaving my head. Thank you all so much. 🙏
My partner was desperate to help me keep my hair. I don’t know why for sure but I suspect mostly he didn’t want me to be upset. So he went to the store and picked out a detangling brush to try. It wasn’t one I had asked for (tangle teezer) or heard about (regular wet brush or unbrush) so I just laid there skeptically and let him try it on me.
20 minutes, no pain, no breakage, no water or products, all mats out.
Please if you’re considering shaving your head out of desperation, consider this brush. We do it a couple of times a week because my scalp hurts otherwise from the stimulation.
TLDR this stupid hairbrush and my awesome partner saved my hair.
