Help draining my own cyst at home??
Post Body

Tagged NSFW bc y’all don’t deserve to read about something gross unless you opt-in. 😂

I’m pretty sure this is the only community that will maybe understand and not totally freak out when I say, I am primarily bedridden, fully homebound, can’t go to the doctor—and I need to drain a cyst. So I’m gonna.

I’m looking for any advice that could help make this experience suck even remotely less than it inherently will already.

I have sterile syringes, alcohol prep pads, cotton squares (like flat cotton balls), rubbing alcohol, and bandages. And balls of steel. Lol.

The cyst is on my outer labia and has gotten large and painful enough that I can’t ignore it further. I’ve been trying to draw it out by sitting in Epsom salt baths and using these little adhesive patches designed to draw things out/to the surface. All it’s doing is growing. 😑

I’m prone to cysts and ingrown hairs and not concerned this is something to worry about or need a biopsy or anything. But I don’t want to cause an infection obviously.

Ok so now that I sound like a crazy person, anyone know how I can numb this if I can’t take NSAIDS? 😂

Pls send Halp omg 😆

Edit to add: ended up at the ER for unrelated reasons so told them about the cyst thing. Will see if anyone can help. Thank you all!
