About Me:
I am a 26-year-old medical student in Chicago with South Asian roots. I have a calm demeanor coupled with a warm heart. I find joy in small, meaningful moments as much as the big ones whether it's exploring a new restaurant, enjoying a peaceful walk through the park, or traveling across the country and participating in a cause. Health is important to me so staying active keeps me grounded, and I also know the value of downtime and deep conversations. My career is important to me, but life outside of work matters just as much. I am serious when needed with a dash of goofiness. Most important, I am driven by the desire for connection and understanding. If you appreciate open-mindedness, affection, and growth, we may click. I hope.
Hobbies/Interests:
- I love staying active through various means such as tennis, running, and weightlifting. I also enjoy taking long walks with music in my ears and nature around me. Who says bring active can't be fun? I think bowling, rollerskating, rock climbing, or hiking are fun too.
- Watching movies is one of my favorite pastimes. My favorite genres are horror, sci-fi, and mystery/crime. I love cozy movie nights feat. "The Thing" (1982), "Whiplash", "Donnie Darko", and "Prisoners". All movie nights come with a selection of snacks and drinks.
- I am a food lover at heart—Ethiopian, Mediterranean, and Indian are my favorite go-tos, but I’m always up for trying new things.
- I’m currently learning French (so we can whisper sweet things to each other in another language!) êtes-vous d'accord.
- Boardgames, theatrical plays, or discovering hidden gems in the city are a few other interests of mine.
Personality:
- I would describe myself as calm, curious, very affectionate, and thoughtful. I love taking the time to truly connect, whether it’s through words or quiet understanding.
- I’m a blend of easygoing and driven—focused on my career, but always making time for those important moments. I appreciate someone who’s kind, open-hearted, and can match my affectionate nature.
About You:
- You’re someone who’s active and enjoys staying physically engaged, whether through sports, walks, or shared activities.
- You know how to push me to grow, encouraging me to be my best self, but you’re also kind and gentle about it.
- You’re not stubborn or arrogant—while you’re intelligent, you never use that as a way to look down on others.
- I’m looking for someone who’s not afraid to be vulnerable, who believes in the little gestures of affection that make love so meaningful. I want someone that is very affectionate and slightly clingy.
- Mutual attraction matters, but I’m more drawn to qualities like kindness, a generous spirit, and the ability to connect on a deeper emotional level.
Politics:
I don't align with a specific political party because I want to avoid the polarizing views that often come with strict party lines. Instead, I value independent thinking and believe in forming opinions based on a variety of perspectives rather than adopting a fixed set of beliefs. It’s important to uphold core fundamental values Beyond those core beliefs, I’m open to engaging in respectful discussions and learning from different viewpoints. I will not engage in anything other than meaningful and thoughtful conversations, even if we don’t always agree.
Religion:
I come from a religious background, but I don’t actively practice any religion at this point. I consider myself a "non-resistant nonbeliever," which means I’m open to spirituality and different beliefs without actively seeking them out. I respect the role religion plays in many people’s lives and enjoy learning about different faiths and perspectives. While I don’t have a strong religious affiliation, I’m always open to having meaningful conversations about your beliefs and what they mean to you. I believe that understanding each other’s values, whether religious or philosophical, is key to a deep connection.
Kids:
I don’t want kids. I’d rather invest my time, energy, and love into my partner, my career, and our shared interests.
Pets:
I’m not a pet person. I don’t have the desire for the maintenance they require, but I’m willing to accommodate if you already have a pet and it’s important to you.
