Hey there, name's Isaiah and I live in the Midtown area of Detroit as of November 2023. I'm 28 as the title says, 5' 9", and 150lbs of an average/slim build.

So, before I go deep into this, I'm going to say right away that I'm childfree with zero intentions of ever changing that and plan on getting a vasectomy in the not-so-distant-future - tends to be a dealbreaker for most, so part of why I'm posting here again!

Also, while I'm open to a LDR, I honestly hate traveling (mostly the logistics of it lol) and I don't have a passport (if you're outside of the US), so hopefully you aren't too far or are willing to come to me for an eventual meetup down the line. So, without further ado...

About Me:

Still reading? Cool, so the best way to describe me is that I have black cat energy. 🐈‍⬛ What does that mean? It means I'm laid-back, can be quiet, and I guess it also means I can be very affectionate and clingy (in a healthy way lol) once I'm warmed up to you! I'm an ISTJ who's stupidly honest, transparent, and loyal - I'm a ride-or-die type.

College-educated and I work at a local university as a Lab Tech at their school of medicine and probably will be here for at least a minimum of ~8-10 years to get my student loans forgiven (PSLF eligible!) and maybe will stay after that (will likely move around within), as I do like it here despite some annoyances.

Hobbies include: rollerblading poorly, playing tennis poorly, going for walks, video games (less so in recent years), going to local concerts, comedy shows, museums, and I'm in the process of trying out pickleball and getting back into bowling. I do write poetry every blue moon, I like biking (want to try mountain biking eventually), photography, and I'm always down for trying something at least once (few exceptions).

I watch a lot of movies, TV, and anime, with my interests leaning towards true crime/nature docs, mysteries, horror, and sci-fi/fantasy. Same applies to anime, but I do consume some slice-of-life from time to time.

I can cook, but god do I hate it. 🤣 Never tried baking before, though. I don't smoke at all and I only drink socially, and even then not a whole lot (never been drunk before). I'd prefer if my partner didn't smoke at all (edibles are acceptable) and I don't care one way or the other as far as drinking goes (just don't be an alcoholic).

I have a dry/sarcastic, and sometimes dark, sense of humor that doesn't grace this world with it's magnificence super often.

An example? I'm currently taking an antidepressant (not really) called Musicality with different dosage levels such as: Avenged Sevenfold, Panic! At The Disco, A Perfect Circle, Three Days Grace, and All Time Low (I'll stop now lol).

Speaking of music, I mostly lean towards rock and shoegaze, but I listen to just about everything with the exception of electronic, most hip-hop, country, and reggae - also listen to a lot of Japanese artists of the same genres!

As for my communication skills, I'd say I'm fine with talking as long as we're not in some overly loud environment and I'm comfortable with a person, but I definitely need a bit of time first - I also consider myself more of a listener.

I have zero issues with showing my emotions, but I can definitely come off a bit cold or aloof at times, especially at first (🐈‍⬛). I'd say I'm emotionally intelligent and have the patience of stone (it honestly annoys me how patient I can be sometimes lol).

I'd consider myself socially-awkward and this has a lot to do with growing up homeschooled, barely any kids my age in my childhood neighborhood, and being a homebody (I'd say 50% as of right now). I don't have social anxiety or anything, but it takes me time to click with people (improving, but still a WIP). Once I warm up, though, I've been told I'm a kind and supportive dude. Granted, if you wrong me in some way, you'll get the axe with no hesitation and I will silently move on, as I'm not into playing games or being around crappy/toxic human beings.🪓😊
