I’ve often been teased for being a wide-eyed dreamer, head lost in the clouds. Silly enough to believe in fairy tales. Maybe I’ve even written a couple, in my other life as a writer (jk it’s this one, I’m the writer - as if you couldn’t already tell).

Maybe I am too old to believe in fairy tales. In time travel and alternate dimensions. In an extra terrestrial botanist who lives in our hearts. In the Dread Pirate Roberts and luck dragons and following the emerald star. In a pie maker who can raise the dead. In a cybernetic raccoon and the giving tree. In stars that fall to earth and fall in love with mortal men beyond the wall. A little mermaid who would save a prince from drowning in the deep. In a King of Ithaca who would travel for 20 years to be reunited with his beloved. I believe in Freedom, Beauty, Truth, and above all things - Love. In a man who would travel to the depths of hell to pull his soul mate out of it. In the starman waiting in the sky.

I believe in them because they are stories coded as of hope, and love, and magic. And while we can’t see these things, or touch them - we can feel them. We can pay attention and listen to the magic of the world, choose to believe that hope is the thing with feathers, that this is water, and that love is so real and true a force, that it can transcend death.

But I am not looking for prince charming, and I am not a princess. I am a Jedi (wait no, sorry - wrong line 🤣).

I’m just a girl - looking for a boy, asking him to love me. To decide on me. To decide on us.

I’m looking for someone who I can treat as a King, and who will treat me as his (feisty) Princess. Mutual respect and adoration and complete, whole, real true love.I’m looking for someone to share and create magic and kindness within this extraordinary, ordinary life. I’m looking for forever in the numbered days we have on this mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.

Maybe we can write our own happily ever after, starting here in the little infinity of the infinite binary code. YCFM.
