FixBowing Ceiling

Post Body
I’m prepping our first floor living room for painting. Walls and ceiling are plaster and lathe. This crack in the ceiling has been slowly forming for 10 years. It’s about 3.5ft long, and 2mm wide. Moves slightly when pushed hard. It’s not really bowing or sagging, if it is, it’s barely noticeable. No noticeable water damage in the room either.
Would using something to reinforce it (drywall tape?) and plastered over be enough to fix and prevent further damage?
Any guidance is appreciated!
